    Alpha du Cap Guest House is conveniently located in Table View, just of the West Coast Road, connecting it to Cape Town’s city centre. The area is also commonly referred to as Blouberg, meaning “Blue Mountain”. Situated between Bayside Mall and Beach Boulevard, Alpha du Cap Guest House is only a short walk to the beach with plenty of restaurants, takeaways, bars, pubs and convenience stores. Table View, one of the safest holiday destinations in Cape Town, is best known for its white sandy beaches and spectacular views of Table Mountain and Robben Island.

    Top rated among local and international tourists for its convenient location and affordable accommodation, Table View is the ideal base from where to explore Cape Town and the Cape Winelands. Greenmarket Square, Longstreet and St Georges Mall with vibes, sounds and crafts of Africa, the V&A Waterfront and Table Mountain are only a 20 minutes drive along the West Coast Road. Cape Town International Airport is about 30 minutes from Alpha du Cap Guest House.

    Other close by suburbs and places of interest include Bloubergstrand, which shares Dolphin Beach with Table View, Eden on the Bay in Big Bay, Parklands College, Table Bay Mall and Blaauwberg Hospital in Sunningdale, Milnerton Medi Clinic, the Killarney race track, factory shops in Montague Gardens, Epping and the Ysterplaat air force base.

    Renting a car is the most convenient way of getting around, but booking is essential. The MyCity bus offers an inexpensive and convenient alternative to connect to Cape Town. Accommodation in Table View is high in demand from August to May, but even off-season, it can be hard to find a decent place to stay due to its popularity among business travelers.

  • Getting Around


    Alpha du Cap Guest House is very easy to find, just off the R27 / Blaauwberg Main road. The beach, restaurants and shopping are all in walking distance. Renting a car gives you the most flexibility, but the MyCity Bus offers an inexpensive alternative and Cape Town's topless busses are a great way of exploring the city and its surrounding areas.

  • Dining Out


    At the end of our road, you will find literally thousands of restaurants, take-aways, bars and pubs. If you feel however to stay-in, you will find a take-away menu in your room. Taxis are available and usually quick to take you to the nearest restaurants if you don't feel like walking.


  • Shopping


    In Cape Town, you can shop till you drop. Convenience stores are in walking distance and just around the corner is Bayside Mall, with all the major chain stores. And, of course, there is the V&A Waterfront, Canal Walk and N1 City, all popular shopping destinations amongst our guests.

  • Must See Attractions


    Cape Town's Big 5 are: the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cape Point and the city centre. Amongst the more hidden gems are Buffelsfontein Game and Nature Reserve, !Khwa ttu ( San Cultural Centre) and of course, you must take at least one selfie on Blouberg Beach with Table Mountain in the background.

  • Must-do Adventures


    For the more adventurous, there is abseiling from Table Mountain, motorized tandem paragliding from Blouberg beach, quad biking, kite surfing, stand-up paddling, wind-surfing on the Rietvlei lagoon, sand-boarding in the dunes of Atlantis and much more. If that is not for you, just mingle with the water sport enthusiasts on Blouberg beach.

  • Activities with kids


    We love kids and there is so much to do with kids in Cape Town. For most, the beach in itself is already a day-long adventure. And then there is Monkey Land and the Butterfly World in Hout Bay, the Spier Cheetah Encounters and Monkey Town in Somerset West, an Ostrich Farm, Crocodile Farm and Imhoff's horse and camel rides.
